I recently learned how to use certain lighting techniques to create a studio black background in broad daylight…honestly, it blew my mind! I had so much fun with my friends as they modeled for me on the porch outside my door. We got some weird looks, but it was OH so worth it! The Portrait of a Lady
Laura is a fellow old soul and I loved getting to photograph her vintage style. We had her sit on a chair in front of our doorway. There were so many shots I loved, but this was my favorite. I loved how the wind blew her hair and the emotion in her eyes.
Teardrops on My Guitar
It was special for me to be able to take pictures of my sister, Mykala, with a guitar. Mykala was the one that first inspired me to start playing and so I had a flood of memories come back as I took these pictures. I loved the mood the black creates and how the light shimmers off her eyeshadow and weaves into her hair.
